A mixture of Soccer, Baseball, Gorilla Tag, Ultimechs, and Rocketball, the game delivers quite an impressive semi-acrobatic (you don't have to jump around with a VR headset on your face) and fun experience, especially when played with others. The game encourages friendly competition, which is one point unique about this game. The arena's movement and overall atmosphere are hilarious. Even if one continues to be beaten down, the game is so fun and cute that it would be difficult to get frustrated with the amount of eye candy thrown your way. Everything is so colorful that jumping around the vast arena is fun.

The game has three modes: "Free Play," with no timer to hinder you, and "Timed," which gives you an option of two, three, or five minutes. Meanwhile, "Max Goal" is another timed play with a quota for goal hits. You control a Bot that looks like the Invisible Man in an armored suit. You play by jumping on floating platforms and hitting the soccer ball with your huge bat. Remember that you move like a gorilla through a bot, unlike in games like Ultimechs, where your bot avatar functions on speed and power-play. The game also lets you shoot explosive projectiles to modify the ball's trajectory in instances where it would be difficult or impossible to hit it with your bat.

The gravity in the game is a bit like walking on the moon, so the ball sails through the air and bounces like mad all over the place. With the help of jump jets, you can maneuver your little monkey bot around the area just as well. The trick is hitting or shooting at the ball to get it going in the right direction, but the problem is not only are there a lot of platform obstacles, but the other competing monkey bots as well.

One remarkable feature of the game is the arena environment and the captivating graphics and sound effects, like when the ball goes boom when it hits the goal. Also, the game has a light-hearted atmosphere compared to other games like Ultimechs, which rely on combat and aggressive gameplay as one goes against an opponent to power-score the ball. On the other hand, Sky Strikers feels like you're playing a gorilla-jumping baseball game with a competitive yet light-hearted touch. It's hard to get angry at an opponent who makes you laugh while going against you.

In comparison to Gorilla Tag, your monkey bot does what it does best, and that is to jump and climb. However, instead of trees and a forest, you have platforms up high that usually hold power-up items that give you the extra push to win the game. Power-ups can also be found on the ground, but getting up on the platforms is very much a part of the game. It's also an excellent way to hit the sailing ball from a vantage point. The game is immersive, as a crowd cheers whenever you make a goal. Sky Strikers may be but one of the myriad VR arena games in the market today, but one thing's for sure, it's a good one!
