Play the role of a lone DayCare caregiver with the job of babysitting a bunch of magical baby creatures.
Make sure the toddlers are well taken care of. They may look weird or scary, but they're just babies and are affectionately adorable, dangerous, and volatile at the same time.
Learn to use the tools and objects provided by you in the DayCare as you gain patience and skill with taking care of these amazing infant creatures.
Taking care of infants and the very young seems to be an essential preoccupation of almost every living creature that gives birth to offspring. Almost, in a sense, some creatures divide themselves to multiply, so let's chuck them as exceptions to the rule. Now whether man, animal, bird, insect, or fish, parents (especially mothers) will instinctively look after their young so they can grow and survive in the world. However, with brilliant creatures like man, parents may become engrossed in ensuring their family's survival. If they relegate the duty of temporarily and safely watching out for their babies as they work, they would definitely consider it another essential option. Thus, the concept of the Nursery and later the Day Care Center was established to fill the need.
Operating and running a Day Care Center will require a lot of skill, patience, and know-how for those involved and work in it. Taking care of the Pre-Schoolers, tots, toddlers, babies is a difficult and sensitive job as great care, and attention must be given to each child. Unlike a Nanny that can take care of a single little angel, Day Care teachers and caregivers have to attend to several kids at once. Of course, this is done in a very organized way, from caring to playing, feeding, and teaching. The teachers must fulfill all this in the given time that the child is left in their care. Babies are babies, and it takes a motherly (or fatherly) instinct to carry out the job successfully.
Now, when you as a human being unfortunately tasked to do babysitting duty for a group of babies that are not human but magical creatures that look like they just came out from Mysterious Beasts and Where To Find Them, what you have is Deadly Daycare. Again, babies are babies, and it does take a motherly (or fatherly) instinct to carry out the job successfully, but they're not human. Worst they are magical and can be very dangerously volatile. Of course, taking care of them would be a way lot more complicated than changing diapers and saying koochi-koochi-koo. What more, these babies are very, very demanding of your attention. Slip up, and your babysitting job gets immediately terminated (probably with you as well). But since it's a game...you can always try again.
Of course, being in VR, you find yourself actually in the magical Nursery. Yes, the look and feel are cool, and there's even a window with an awesome outside view. However, you have a job to do, and you will need to study and consult the instruction book on Mysterious Beast And Where To Find Them baby care (well, sort of). The Nursery is loaded with objects you will need to use to take care of your wards, from bathing to feeding, caring, and playing with them. Each creature has slightly different needs, and in the game, you get to interact with a magical baby goat and a twin of magical fish (imagine a fish floating on air).
By far, the goat is the most expressive of the tots (except for Gilbert, the fish whose eyes bleed when his temperature goes way up). The bathing tools like the water canon squid are kind of amusing, and the activities that you will have to perform to keep little magic goat happy are humorous at best. There is even a ritual circle with three candles where you have to ring a bell to produce something out of nothing that the baby wants or needs. For the musically inclined, playing Glockenspiel will be needed to keep these kids entertained. What baby wants, the baby will tell you. Just read or look at the balloon that pops above them to see what they want. Make sure to consult the...Mysterious Beast And Where To Find Them baby manual (well, sort of) to find out how to use the items that abound. Some items can substitute for another, but you'll have to find that out on your own.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going, and you'll have to take care of the three of them simultaneously—no teaching assistant to help you (sorry), just you and you alone. Whatever you do, Don't Panic! There's no sub-etha signaling thumb around, but you won't need that in a magical place so, keep your wits about. Finally, no worries with all the mess you make, you've got help with a Cat that's your assistant, though. The Cat, however, also looks like it came from Mysterious Beast And Where To Find Them (making a note to stop repeating that) since it's more of an Octopus than a Cat. It is beneficial, though, in placing things back in order, although that seems to be all it can do. Just remember to show it your appreciation.
Uhm, my name is Bond...
Oh well, in VR, anything is possible!
